New Fidelity
Paul Murka became Owner and President of Fidelity Orthopedic, Inc. in Dayton, Ohio in 1989.
Paul received his certification from Northwestern University in prosthetics and orthotics in 1973; and was American Board Certified in prosthethics and orthotics in 1975. In 2001, Paul earned the status of Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetist (FAAOP) by meeting the rigorous professional standards set by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics and successfully completing the comprehensive certificate programs.
Paul is a member of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics (Past Board Member), International Society for Prosthetists and Orthotists, American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (Past President), Ohio Orthotic and Prosthetic.
Deborah Murka Casad, Paul's sister, joined Fidelity Orthopedic in 2001 after a longtime career in the healthcare field.
After attending Miami University (Ohio), Deb received her nursing license which she keeps current through continuing education courses. She used her talents working in a family practice office and in rehab facilities, and now brings that same gift of caring to our patients.
Deb decided to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather and father, by joining Paul in continuing in the family legacy of service to the physically challenged.
Always with an eye to the future, Paul expanded ownership of Fidelity Orthopedic to include members of the staff who share the same vision for the "NEW" Fidelity Orthopedic, as well as a genuine respect for the pioneers and craftsmen who come before many decades ago.
Paul feels very confident that the future of Fidelity Orthopedic is in good hands with the addition of Brent, Deb, Claire, and Hilmo, who took over as president in 2009, as part of the corporate structure.
It has been 80 years since those two young men left their native Germany to find a new home in the United States. The courage and determination that step took is similar to the determination our patients’ show while adjusting to a disability. We are thankful to have been, and to continue to be, part of the lives of our thousands of courageous patients.
Whether a "Murka" is serving our patients or other members of our team, the same quality patient care that was established by those two brothers and became synonymous with Fidelity Orthopedic will continue for years to come.
